Mysore railway station Website launched

The new website of the Mysore Railway Station was launched on Saturday. This is the second version of the website.

Incidentally, Mysore station is one of the few in the country to have its own website, complete with details such as arrival and departure of trains, links to provide current train information on a real-time basis, passenger reservation and PNR status. The section on passenger information has the train schedule at Mysore, links to Indian Railways trains at a glance, seat availability, and trains between stations.

In addition to details pertaining to the Railways, the website also provides exhaustive information about tourist places in and around the city with links to major monuments that may have their own portals.

The website http://www.mysorerailwaystation.in has useful operation-specific web external links, google map integration as also travel guide.

With emphasis on proper indexing, the navigation has been made simple.

There is a chapter dedicated to the history of the Mysore railway station apart from a link to facilitate online booking of retiring room at the Mysore station.

There are important contact numbers including catering complaints and security

For tourists visiting Mysore, the website will be a storehouse of information.
