Health magazine for railway employees launched

To create awareness about health problems affecting railway men, health department of North Central Railway released a magazine titled ‘Swasthya Mitra’, at a function was organised at NCR Central Hospital.

President of the North Central Railway Women Welfare Organization (NCRWWO) Chitrangada Johri released the inaugural issue of the magazine. Speaking on the occasion, general manger of North Central Railway Alok Johri observed work atmosphere in the railways was challenging and having the largest workforce in the entire country, it was the organization’s duty to look after the health of its employees.

In this connection, the magazine would play a vital role with valuable information relating to health issues. Speaking on the occasion, chief medical director Dr B B Agarwal informed that all the articles published in the magazine were in simple language and written by doctors of NCR. tnnHe said the magazine was an endeavour to provide information about health issues.

During the programme, heads of various departments, office-bearers of North Central Railway Women Welfare Organisation, medical officers of NCR Central hospital were present.
